Karate Near Me | What do they really do?

So, parents in my area—Mount Laurel—keep coming to our karate school already knowing what they can get out of a karate program.

Self-Control

Discipline

Excellence

Dinoto Karate Center has 25 years’ worth of word-of-mouth-marketing, but my intuition tells me it’s more than that. The secret is out. The idea of a Karate Master teaching children how to become their best selves is inseamed in American Culture.

Later, I want to tell you what you can expect from my team and our karate program.

First, I have a story to share with you.

A little three-year-old girl took her first intro lesson with me. She started crying in the middle of the class and came back because she was nervous being in a new place. The tears flowed like rain.

She hugged me at the end of her second class.

Build Communities

Community is the buzziest buzz word of the decade. Businesses say they build communities and have enforced fun corporate retreats. Content creators say the build a community instead of making videos, art, or text.

It’s almost a non-word at this point. So, let me explain to you what I mean by Dinoto Karate Center has a student community.

I get to watch our students teach each other.

I get to watch our students build friendships that last off the mat.

I get to watch students strengthen their families by training together.

The best part is, we’ve been foster that environment for so long, my students do the hard friend making work for me.

Lasting Memories

Our summer camp ended two months ago. I’m writing this on October 5th. Two families told me, “the kids still tell stories about the Summer Camp” in the past week.

One father asked, “could you be convinced to do eight weeks of camp again? The kids don’t wanna go back to their other camp.”

We’ve even had student’s start training after a multi-year hiatus because of college or life-changes. They return with fond memories of their time with us.

As instructors, we have fond memories of their time with us too.

The Character Skills Kids need to Succeed

Schools—as a general rule—have standards on what material they must teach. Kids learn multiplication, addition, and that dreaded algebra all at a state-mandated age. Now, a good teacher is going to help the build those character skills they need in the working world.

Grit

Integrity

Creativity

Sadly, those are all afterthoughts to the mandated program. It is difficult to track Mental Toughness with a standardized test.

We directly foster those skills. Our mat chats revolve around character skills and development. Those lessons are tested when our advanced students join our Leadership Program and Certified Instructor Training.

We Build great people, then we build great martial artists.

One Last thing

It’s impossible to understand what martial arts can do without watching a class. Maybe you know a martial artist and have an idea what that means. Unless you live with them all day every day, you can’t see how martial arts effects their daily lives

If you are nearby Mount Laurel, I’m looking at you Hainesport, you should visit us a DKC and see what I mean.

To those of you who are further away,
